If you suffer from depression or mental illness, the first thing I recommend is that you talk to someone. Talking helps. I know you might think it doesn’t, but it can and does. If you don’t have anyone you trust, then please make an appointment with your GP and see them. They will understand and point you in the right direction. In the mean time I have listed a few resources that I have come across on my travels with depression.
